Service description

Movers North America operates an online matching service that connects consumers seeking household move estimates with independent licensed moving companies. Movers North America is not a moving company, motor carrier, freight forwarder, or transportation broker. We do not own trucks, employ moving crews, handle cargo, set moving prices, or collect payments for moving services.

Direct customer and carrier contracts

All moving services, written estimates, scheduling, packing, transport, and billing are governed by a separate direct agreement executed between you and the moving company you select. Movers North America is not a party to any agreement, contract, or bill of lading between customers and moving companies.

No guarantees or endorsements

We do not guarantee mover availability, pricing, response times, or quality of service. We do not endorse or recommend specific moving companies. Matching your request with a carrier does not constitute a warranty or representation regarding that company's performance, pricing, or compliance with regulations.

Customer responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate and truthful information in your move request. You are also responsible for verifying the licensing status, insurance coverage, and credentials of any moving company before hiring them. For moves within New York State, confirm that the mover holds operating authority from the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT). For interstate moves, verify the mover's USDOT and MC numbers on the FMCSA website and review all written estimates prior to signing.

Prohibited activities

You agree to use this website only for legitimate household move requests. You may not submit false information, use automated software to scrape data, disrupt website security, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our system servers or database records.

Limitation of liability

Movers North America and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of this matching service, your interaction with independent moving companies, or property damage and delays occurring during a move.

Governing law

These terms of use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.

Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms of use at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.
